Web Application Developer

As one of the developers of our OpenCRM system, your primary role is to work with our project management team on customer-requested features and integrations — some bespoke, some applied generically — arising from customer requests or our internal development roadmap.
This primarily involves functional/back-end development of the OpenCRM web application, with some front-end screen design and building. We maintain a suite of add-on and integrated applications, including a mobile app, so some projects will be enhancements for these. It’s vital that any modifications adhere to the security already in place. For each feature you’ll accurately record time, document your code, carry out testing, and work with a project manager on their own testing — fixing all identified issues.
Key responsibilities
- Back-end development of the OpenCRM web application, plus some front-end building
- Delivering bespoke and generic customer features and integrations
- Ensuring all changes adhere to existing system security
- Accurately recording time and documenting your code
- Testing your work and supporting the project manager’s testing
- Taking ownership of fixing any identified issues
Necessary skills

Projects
Project Manager

As a Project Manager, your primary responsibility is to ensure customers can configure and effectively use their OpenCRM systems. You’ll guide customers through initial configuration, including data import, and conduct online training sessions, managing all your own client interactions and follow-ups to ensure timely delivery.
This also includes managing projects with bespoke development, liaising with one or more developers to ensure the purchased feature is delivered to the customer’s specification.

- Following system specifications from the customer and our sales team
- Ensuring OpenCRM works for the customer’s business processes
- System configuration — field creation and placement, data importing, template creation
- Conducting online training sessions for customers
- Working with development to ensure timely, to-spec delivery of bespoke code
