Who are OpenCRM?About
OpenCRM launched in 2005 and is still owned and operated by the same people who started it all. Our HQ is just outside the picturesque market town of Richmond, North Yorkshire. Our customers range from start-ups and mid-market businesses to large corporate enterprises, with users based across every continent (all except one — we haven’t cracked Antarctica yet).
Can I easily customise OpenCRM?Product
Every company wants to hold different information, so you can add as many custom fields as you need — showing, hiding and rearranging both custom and system fields to suit your business. Fields can be added in any module, and with 26 different types of custom field you can tailor your system to meet your exact needs.
Payment methods — how can I pay?Pricing
UK companies can pay by Direct Debit. We accept all major credit cards as well as PayPal, and you can also pay by cheque or bank transfer. For Enterprise customers we can invoice against a valid purchase order if that helps.
Do you store my credit card details?Pricing
No, we do not. Our credit card payments are powered by Stripe, a worldwide provider of secure credit card processing. OpenCRM does not see your credit card number, and we do not store card details anywhere on our internal systems.
Do I have to sign a long contract?Pricing
No. OpenCRM subscriptions are based around the accepted principle of Pay As You Go — you pay a monthly subscription in advance and can cancel at any time. We do apply a 60-day cancellation notice period, but that’s the only commitment involved.
What other software do you integrate with?Product
OpenCRM integrates with a wide range of external applications, including Microsoft 365, Google, Xero, Sage, Zapier and Jotform, to name a few. Interested in learning more? Give one of our business development team a call and find out which of OpenCRM’s integration options are right for you.
What do you mean by cloud? (How does the hosting work?)Security
All of our systems are based completely in the cloud, so you can access them from any internet-connected device. The data, system and software are all held and run from our servers — all located in the UK, as are all back-ups and back-up servers. Our long-term hosting partner is AWS (Amazon Web Services).
How do I know my data is secure?Security
The data centres holding your data are all based in the UK and are ISO 27001 accredited — the security standard used by banks and other financial service organisations. We take nightly, weekly and monthly snapshot backups held in a secondary facility, and we comply with the GDPR. You can find more in our terms of supply and privacy information.
How quickly will I get my system?Getting started
Once you complete the online sign-up or e-sign a sales order (sent by one of our Business Development team), you can expect your system and login details within about 30 minutes. Within a day or two, someone from our Project Management team will be in touch to help you get started or arrange any configuration or training you’ve purchased.
Can I export my data at any time?Security
Yes. You own your data and, as an Administrator, can export your information at any time. If you decide OpenCRM isn’t for you — for whatever reason — we provide a full MySQL database backup as part of the termination process.
Do I really get 2TB of storage?Product
Yep — it’s all yours, so use it however works best for you. We provide this level of storage, far more than our competitors, to make working with OpenCRM easier: no worrying about overage charges, and no surprise bills because your team is actually using the system. Upload large files as part of your processes without a second thought.
Do you offer training, setup, and data import?Getting started
We offer a number of Professional Services — including Training, Configuration, Bespoke Development and Data Import — to ensure your system fits your needs and you feel confident using it. You can, of course, carry out your own configuration and data import if you prefer.
Do you have support? Where can I go for questions?Getting started
Our support department is on hand to answer any questions about your system. You can reach them via email, LiveChat, our Customer Portal, or by phone.
Can all my users log in at the same time?Product
Of course. We have systems ranging from a single user to many hundreds of users, and they can all be logged in at the same time with no drop in performance.
Do I get everything I see in the demo?Product
All OpenCRM systems, whatever the subscription plan, are created with all the modules you see in the demo. If you don’t need one right now you can hide it (or hide it from individual users or teams), and if you decide to expand into any of these modules later, it’s easy to re-enable the ones you’d like to use.
What if I need a refund?Pricing
The honest answer is that we don’t issue refunds for services legitimately purchased — but equally we don’t want to be unfair if you have a genuine request. In most cases the important thing is to cancel your subscription at the earliest opportunity; if you don’t tell us you’re leaving, we won’t know. If you make a payment by accident (perhaps you cancelled too late in the billing cycle), let us know and, where appropriate, we’ll work with you on a case-by-case basis so you remain happy.
Is there any way I can save more money with OpenCRM?Pricing
Our Simple Pricing is based on Pay-As-You-Go monthly charging. We also offer options to pay annually or contract for a longer period — both available at a reduced price.
Do you have charity prices?Pricing
In short, yes we do. There are a couple of things we ask when dealing with charitable organisations, but nothing you won’t already be doing. Why not get in touch? We can give you the lowdown on how we can help.
