The Right to be Forgotten

One of the new rights brought in with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the Right to be Forgotten. It allows an individual to request that their personal data is removed from a company’s databases and systems (within reason).

This webinar will focus on the Right to be Forgotten (RTBF) tools available in OpenCRM and how you can use them to implement your own policies.

These include deleting records, wiping audit logs, setting warning, and affecting linked records. Although we’ve added some dedicated fields for triggering these actions, you can of course use any of the other fields (including custom fields) to do so.

Our dedicated RTBF fields offer additional confirmation and date stamping, as well as additional security around restoring backups including records with these fields switched on.

The goal with these (and our Data Retention Rules) is to give you all the tools you need to manage your own policies. We are not here to write or even advise on those policies. But will, of course, help you in any way we can to carry them out within OpenCRM.

You can find this webinar and all of our other videos on our YouTube Channel. Why not stay up to date with new features, as well as our latest tips and tricks, by subscribing?
